The french combat sport Savate – French Boxing becomes more and more popular, especially in Austria. The leading club in Austria is the Fightclub 300 in Weiz, who bring the sport, with very good results, closer tu the public.
Last weekend was one of thoose weekends.
Philipp Wiesenhofer fought for the european championship title in front of a big audience in middle of Paris in the Cirque d’Hiver Bouglione. After a total dynamic and hard fight he had to admit defeat through points against his french Savate A Class Elite fighter and made in the end, as first male austrian ever, the silver medal … VICE CHAMPION OF EUROPE!
On his facebook site Philipp wrote:
„I am so proud about the fight and so incredible thankfull for my trainer Hrvoje Kisasondi and the whole Fightclub 300 – family… All of them burn with me every training, thanks for that you all are awesome! This fight shows me on which level I am and on which big events I am possible to fight right now. the rest few days i will relax a bit and than back to the gym, to start with the preparation for RISE OF SPARTANS 3“.
But he was not the only active fighter of the Fightclub 300 on the last weekend.
Michaela Reitbauer, Miriam Bauernhofer and Andrei Potocean was part of the international Savate World Cup – THE CROATIA OPEN in Croatia. All three fight through the qualification rounds to the finals:
Miriam won clear by UD against her slovenian opponent, GOLD
Andrei won clear by UD against his hungarian opponent, GOLD
Michael los by SP against her french opponent, SILVER

Die französische Kampfsportart Savate erfreut sich immer mehr Beliebtheit in Österreich. Der Fightclub 300 in Weiz ist der Vorreiter, der diese international bekannte Kampfsportart den Österreichern näher bringt und das mit beeindruckenden Resultaten.
Vergangenes Wochenende bestritt Philipp Wiesenhofer vor einer vollgefüllten Halle Mitten in Paris einen EM-Titelkampf in Savate Combat, als erster männlicher Österreicher überhaupt!
Er verlor in diesem unglaublich knappen Kampf gegen seinen französischen Savage A Klasse Elite Gegner nach Punkten und erkämpfte schlussendlich die Medaille in SILBER…VICE CHAMPION VON EUROPA!
Auf seiner Facebook Seite schrieb Philipp Wiesenhofer dazu:
„Ich bin auf diese Leistung so stolz und so unglaublich dankbar für meinen Trainer Hrvoje Kisasondi und das gesamte Fightclub 300 – Team, welche jeden Tag für mich beim Training mitbrennen, danke dafür ihr seid einfach SPITZE!
Diese Niederlage motoviert mich nur umso mehr und zeigte mir, auf welchem hohen Level und Events ich schon kämpfen kann. Jetzt ein paar Tage relaxen… danach zurück ins Gym und mit den Vorbereitungen für RISE OF SPARTANS 3 beginnen“
Michaela Reitbauer, Miriam Bauernhofer und Andrei Potocean, alle ebenfalls vom Fightclub 300, nahmen währenddessen in Kroatien am internationalen Savate World Cup – Croatia Open teil.
Alle 3 kämpften sich durch die Qualifikationsrunden ins Finale.
– Miriam gewann eindeutig nach Punkten gegen ihre slowenische Gegnerin, GOLD
– Andrei gewann eindeutig nach Punkten gegen seinen ungarischen Gegner, GOLD
– Michaela verlor durch split decision gegen ihre französische Gegnerin und machte SILBER
