Manuel Sembera : I promise you to give everything!!!

Hello Manuel. For starters, could you introduce yourself to our readers?
Hallo  My name is Manuel Sembera I was born on 14.12.1989 in Vienna. Now I am 26 years old. At the moment I live in Vienna/Floridsdorf. I train in the gym Team Dimos Austria. I work as an electrician for the Wiener Linien (tram). I have a girlfriend ( Steffi) and a little Brother (Matthias).


When did you start with martial arts?
When I was 17 years old.

Which is the victory in your career that you treasure the most?
My WKU World Title defense 2015 at the Dimos Fight Night against a fighter from Switzerland. We fought hard 5 rounds. In the end I won on points on front of all my friends and family.

What is your life motto?
All or nothing.

You fought in many big organizations. Where did you feel most comfortable?
W5 and FFC are both very great organizations.


You have an impressive score – do you look for a particular rematch?
Not really. Against a guy from czech republik I would like to fight again but he stoped fighting last year.

Many people think that K1 is not a sport at all, but violence. What is your message to those people?
The people should make even a picture about it before they speak. K1 is a fair sport with real sportsmen.

What advice would you give to those starting out with martial arts?
It is a great sport. You train the whole body, the head get free from stress and other things and you always get to know great new people.

Your next fight is in Vienna this Saturday in W5 organisation what do you expect ?
I am well prepared and am looking forward to this fight. I promise you to give everything!!!

What are your goals and wishes?
That I can do sport/Kickboxing as long as possible
That all my friends, my family and I always healthy
That the Sembera Brothers get big in Kickboxing
To become a good trainer after my career

Which fight do you remember best?
My first fight in december 2008 in Bregenz, Austria. I fight in the weight division -65kg in K1 against a guy from Germany and I won on points, it was a great feeling 

You travel around the world a lot. Can you share some anecdotes from your travels?
My favourite place was Thailand. The training was vergy good and the people are friendly.

What advice would you give to those starting out with martial arts?
Does not go to early in the ring, many clubs unfortunately do that.
Your last victory is when and where ?
My last victory was this year in april at the WAKO Czech Open 2016 in Prag.

Can you tell us more about Dimos sport center ?
Dimos is like a 2nd family with a lot of different people. The team dimos gym is one of the oldest gyms in Austria. We have a big fighters group .The owner and headcoach is Dietzi Molzer.We train here kickboxing, thaiboxing and boxing. The gym is in Vienna, Floridsdorf

What is your favourite food?
Uuuh 😀 i love to eat. Pizza,Pasta and Austrian Kitchen.
Describe yourself in three words?
Friendly, Purposeful , Ambitious….
What do you do in your spare time, if there is any?
Sometimes there is one.Then i go out with my friends or make holiday with my girlfriend.

What’s your opinion on the use of prohibited substances in sports?
I find it not very sporty.
What goes up in your mind when walking into the ring – are you focused on the fight, what is the level of nervousness and adrenalin?
Nervous I am not really. Adrenaline is always there, sometimes more sometimes less . I am very focused and motivate myself always before the fight.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
I hope healthy and in the ring 😀
