ONE Championship will celebrate women with an all-female event on May 28, the company announced Friday. ESPN first reported the news.
The five-fight show will be headlined by strawweight queen Xiong Jing Nan, who looks to defend her belt for the fifth time as she meets Brazilian jiu-jitsu icon Michelle Nicolini in Singapore.
The four remaining matches on the card will be part of the company’s atomweight grand prix, who crowns the next in line for ONE champion Angela Lee. The quarterfinals feature Denice Zamboanga vs. Seo Hee Ham, Meng Bo vs. Ritu Phogat, Stamp Fairtex vs. Alyona Rassohyna, and Itsuki Hirata vs. Alyse Anderson.
